Discription

A red-enameled cross, having bars of equal length, with smaller bars at the extremities, on the principal bars of which are two gold columns crossing each other. 

The whole encircled by a serpent of gold, holding its tail in its mouth, the head of the serpent being at the upper end of the cross. 

Upon the cross rests a nine-pointed star, formed by three triangles of gold, one upon the other, and interlaced. 

From the lower part of the left side toward the upper part of the right extends a sword, and in the opposite direction a hand of Justice. 

In the middle is a shield; upon a blue field a double-headed eagle of gold, its wings displayed, holding in its talons a two-edged sword of gold, placed horizontally, hilt to the right and point to the left. 

The eagle is crowned with a golden crown of Prussia surmounted by a plain triangle of gold, its apex uppermost; 

on the dexter side of the shield is a golden balance, and on the sinister a golden compass resting on a golden square. 

Around the whole shield runs a stripe of blue, lettered in gold, with the words "Ordo ab Chao", at the top, and "Deus Meumque Jus", 

at the bottom; and this stripe is enclosed by a stripe of white, in which there is a serpent of gold, holding its tail in its mouth. 

The nine small triangles, formed by the intersection of the principal ones, are coloured red, and on each is one of the letters that constitute the word  S\A\P\I\E\N\T\I\A\
